The faucet industry is undergoing a profound transformation. Laser marking, a well-established technology in this field, must now adapt to new production requirements: large standardized batches are giving way to more flexible production, with greater variety of models and increasing demand for customization.
LASIT’s solution for faucets
The TowerMark-X, one of LASIT’s flagship systems, offers an industry-optimized configuration that typically includes a 30W MOPA laser source, 3D marking head, vision system for quality control, and professional vacuum cleaner with multilevel filtration. The system, which combines an extended marking area of up to 700×200 mm through a combination of XZ axes and specific optics, is typically complemented by a W axis for marking cylindrical parts and FlyMES software for integration with management systems. All components-from the PC to the laser system, from the suction to the controls-are perfectly integrated between workspace and machine base, optimizing production space. This configuration is the result of LASIT’s decades of experience in the industry.

Productivity and flexibility
The TowerMark-X’s large work area allows it to effectively handle a variety of production needs. Multiple components can be loaded simultaneously for series marking, or the space can be utilized for large components. The management software simplifies switching between different types of marking, making the machine ideal for productions that alternate between small custom batches and larger series.
Advanced management of complex geometries: the 3D head
TowerMark-X’s 3D marking head represents a significant breakthrough: the system not only maintains the correct focal distance, but also manages the angle of incidence of the laser beam with respect to the surface in real time. This allows for uniform markings even on highly inclined surfaces or complex fittings, while maintaining consistent engraving quality. For components that require markings around the entire circumference, a W-axis is available that allows controlled rotation of the part for 360° markings.

The choice of fiber source: the MOPA laser
The TowerMark-X is typically equipped with a MOPA laser for marking on chrome components and fine finishes. The ability to modulate the duration of the laser pulse makes it possible to achieve markings of the highest aesthetic quality on both raw materials and treated surfaces, a key consideration in the high-end faucet industry.

Professional suction
Laser marking on chrome surfaces generates a significant amount of fumes and dust that must be effectively managed. LASIT’s professional vacuum system, specifically sized for this application, ensures a clean work environment and consistently sharp markings thanks to a multilevel filtration system with HEPA and activated carbon filters.
Integration into production systems
The TowerMark-X can be equipped with FlyMES, LASIT’s software that enables seamless integration with corporate ERP/MES systems. This enables automatic management of marking layouts, complete traceability of processing and real-time monitoring of production, aspects that are increasingly in demand in the modern industrial environment.
